There are a few caching plugins that I’ve tried, and I think that’s actually the 2nd time I’ve heard of the W3 cache issue. Great list and most definitely one to save for the future.

I use Thesis Theme so have SEO built in, but I have been reading lately they the All in One SEO plugin by Yoast is the best of the best. Better than the original All in One SEO. I will be checking that out soon.

I had some problems with W3 Total Cahce as well, where it rewrote my htaccess file and I lost a lot of functionality. So it’s not a straight forward as I hoped.

WP Touch is a great solution for those who already have a theme up or are getting a non-responsive theme. I see more and more responsive themes now on the marketplace and I expect that most new premium themes will be created this way going forward.

I know of some platforms that auto-install WordPress and some of these plugins for you, but it’s actually pretty quick (less than 5 minutes) to install them all yourself on a fresh WordPress installation… that is except for the premium plugins mentioned, which you’d have to buy then install.

The mobile part will take some work regardless if you have anything more than a basic blog, unless you find a great theme that already has a mobile version built in.

The tool mentioned above can make the affiliate model for Amazon a lot easier for bloggers, and the Amazon Affiliate Program can be an easy way to monetize physical product or book recommendations… but it’s certainly not the most lucrative way to make money online.
